XP & Vista to add native Bluray support

An API is in the works which would allow Blurays discs to be burnt without the need of third party software, from within Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003 and Server 2008.

The public beta of the ‘Feature pack for storage’ should be released soon.

E3: Microsoft Avatars

Microsoft has revealed upcoming ‘Avatars’, the upcoming update to the Microsoft dashboard.

The Avatars remind this writer of ‘WiiMiis’, only they look a bit more graphically appealing. But not as much so as PlayStation homes avatars maybe?

The interface includes a multi player system, Up to 8 of these avatars can interact between Games, Photos, TV Shows and Films.

The Update will be released in Autumn
