Top 10 Games in the UK chart last week
Metal Gear Solids 4 success as number one game in the UK charts has already been lost to Lego Indiana Jones it seems. This does not come as a surprise however as Lego Indiana Jones is multi platform, where as Metal Gear is exclusive to the PS3.
…So metal gear is currently the number one ‘exclusive’ platform title in the UK chart

Metal Gear 4 is here!
As you may know, the long awaited PlayStation 3 exclusive: Metal Gear Solid 4 is out now in the UK.
First off I had to do the usual cleaning to free up some space on the PS3’s hard drive, to make room for the 4.6GB of space required.
I’ll be upgrading the hard drive one of these days as it is now completely full up of my games I have purchased on the PlayStation store. honestly 40,60 or even 120gb is not enough for me. admittedly I could delete and reinstall game data now and then, but then that would just suck.
Anyhoo…IGN Review
My first impressions of the gameplay
- The graphics are superb, this is what should be expected of a PS3 exclusive game.
- The game features extensive use of the dualshock 3 rumble, even in those long cut scenes is a nice touch.
Just as the beta did, the game will go online for network play using the Konami ID system, NOT your PlayStation Network ID. much to the annoyance of many gamers
The game is defiantly a 10/10 must have PS3 exclusive title.
Metal Gear Solid 4 - EU Beta up for Download
This afternoon Metal Gear Solid 4: Premiere 8 beta appeared on the PlayStation Store! - it is a 741mb download.
To my knowledge this public beta will be running from April 21st to May 6th
You will need to Create a Konami ID in order to log in, currently the konami server appears to be overwhelmed with traffic.
For now you could always download the Warhawk: Operation Dead Mirror Booster Pack
