E3: It’s official: Final Fantasy XIII is coming to 360

Need I say more? Square Enix Head Yoichi Wada took the stage earlier to make the megaton announcement that the next numbered installment of Final Fantasy will be released on the Xbox 360 the same day as it is on the PS3. Also announced (albeit slightly overshadowed by the noise of a million fanboys heads exploding) is the game will receive a simultaneous release in both US and EU territories.

UPDATE: Confirmed during the Square Enix Press Event: Japan won’t see the Xbox 360 version, meaning it’ll only come to the US and EU, with focus on getting the PS3 version out as soon as possible, and Versus XIII is still a PS3 exclusive. Plus: New Trailer.
