Jet Man successfully crosses the English Channel
Yves Rossy, otherwise known as ‘Jet Man’ successfully managed to cross the channel after a jump from a plane more than 8,000ft above ground, with his Jet-propelled wings which weigh in at around 55kg, with four kerosene jet engines.
Jet-mans journey started at Calais and ended in Dover, this traced the first person to fly across the channel in a plane 99 years ago; French aviator Louis Blériot.
Jet-man reportedly was flying at speeds approaching 125mph, the 21-mile Journey was estimated to take about 12 minutes, but took less than 10 minutes.
