Diablo 3 - Preview
Diablo fans are no doubt now rejoicing after hearing Blizzard publicize their plans for Diablo 3 at the Worldwide Invitational in Paris. Coupled with this a website full of concept art, audio and video clips, story info and images has been uploaded to view: http://eu.blizzard.com/diablo3/
The Story:
One of the biggest problems fans of the series have had with a sequel is if it could be plausible. With Diablo, Baal and Mephisto all killed where could the story go from there? Well Blizzard has released an eerie video teaser giving away some clues. The video is narrated by a young woman, as she talks you are shown shots of the Sanctuary, what looks like to be the angel Tyrael, a comet crashing into the landscape and lastly Diablo. Of course the teaser is extremely captivating and reminiscent of the epic Diablo 2 videos but I personally think the whole comet rising evil spirits sounds slightly cliché and hopefully more depth to the storyline will be revealed soon.

What’s New?
The interface and isometric view has stayed pretty much the same; the biggest change is that the belt displaying your potions has been replaced with a row of skill icons. Enemies will now drop red orbs that once you collect restore your hit points.
Judging by the released video clips it seems that an effort has been made to make the game more responsive to the player; you can now hit various walls and watch them collapse, one clip even shows a creature picking up the player’s character and ripping his head off. The AI in the game is also more advanced with even minor enemies adopting strategies to try and kill you, instead of just mindless walking around.
Altogether there will be 5 different classes to choose from in Diablo 3, these will also include male and female versions. Of these 5 classes only two have been announced so far, the Barbarian and the Witchdoctor. Fans will remember the Barbarian from Diablo 2, he has not changed a great deal. The Witchdoctor is a summoner character, with ability to call on creatures and use an array of spells; he seems very similar to Diablo 2’s Necromancer so I doubt the skeleton lord will be making a return. Hello. Im Biggest Diablo Fan EVER.
game looks Very nice :8) you have really done something whit the Details and Grapic seriously it ROCKs 101% better then WoW..
but a few questions.
1. Pls make so i can build my own character like hair colour and more. PLS
2. if that is not possibble then pls just make all the same D2 characters + 2 more characters and of course wit new skills items req’s and more more moreee
3. will there be pay to play ?
4. is Battle.net required?

I LOVE diablo, diablo 2, and LoD. I have played them all over the years and i saw this and i was extremely happy. Love the graphics (even though the lighting is kinda like WoW). Looks like the Gameplay will ROCK from the demos.
THE ONLY thing i DON’T like is the lighting…COME ON!! ITS DIABLO! MAKE IT DARK LIKE IT SHOULD BE! Diablo and Diablo 2 and LoD were ALL dark. This doesn’t look that dark, in fact, it looks bright and happy and that makes me a little mad…

D2 was way ez, who couldn’t win? so now we don’t have millions of potions it gets better.
Necro was OP, rather than nerf a good basis class they make a new one. I mean spirit tracking ball thing, corpse explosion, and iron maiden? Plus all the summonables, it was wayy OP.
Why keep the barb? thats blizzards way of saying this is Diablo 3. Not some entirely new game. The barbs been in the game since the beginning (warrior). Still hope they reinvent it some more, change leap attack and whirlwind a bit.
But only 5 chars in today’s world. They better have lotsa skills.
And the monster’s head ripping attack better be a finisher or else theres a 1hit kill. Maybe if it were more dodgeable.

honestly it looks like a great game..just like every other blizzard game out there..but it does look alittle bright and stuff..but it would also be brightend up abit cause its a video an im sure u wouldnt be able to see anything..maybe they jus brightend it up so u could actually see the detail?
an for the people that think it looks like WoW..go buy a brain and look at WoW..they look nothing alike
an about the 5 classes..just remember theres more storyline an sidequests to it..(from what the narrorator from the video said)..an dont forget about expansions..u just know theyre gonna bring out expansions with new characters
an i have to agree that the necromancer sucked..i couldnt get past the first act with his stupid summons and attacks..loved the druid an barb..
the barbarian was a classic an always will be..theres no way in hell they can get rid of the barbarian..besides..theres always a hero that uses brute force and strength..what else would they call it?..squire?..swordsman? crazy bitch with huge axes/swords/maces?..no..barbarian is the perfect class name
well its time to go order a pizza an play some more diablo 2..for all the people that are excited about this game..dont go crazy and trip over a chair an accidently get [Removed by Admin]..then u will never know what D3 is like..heh

i dont argee with whoever said all blizzard games are good. WoW is terrible, it looks like an N64 game. Starcraft 2 is ok, but its game/graphics engine doesnt even come close to Dawn Of War 2. But yea, im gonna play D3

I remember the days in grade seven playing Diablo 2 lord of destruction, I was addicted to it for 10 months if not more. Diablo 3 looks amazing and blizzard never disappointed me except with WoW because it looks like a little cartoon game.

the thing that was goond about d2 was the atmosphere it created with the music and environment and shit…hopefully they dont dont kill the effect by trying too many new things…and it sux that theres only 5 chars…but maby thats because they want to make money off expansions that will bring in more chars…
u cant really tell how good the graphics are looking through a small video on a website…u need to have it fullscreen on top vid settings to really see the quality
